We are a multi-spindle screw machine shop. We run Euroturn, New Britain and Davenport machines. We are looking for great people in search of amazing opportunity. The ideal candidate is a person of character, a motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic. We have benefits unlike other companies and provide a fulfilling atmosphere. This is a full-time position with FULLY PAID HEALTH CARE and benefits. Currently filling positions for: Screw Machine Operators Description: Operate two or more multiple spindle screw machines equipped with or without automatic bar loaders to perform series of machining operations on bar stock, to blueprint specifications. Requires working with hand tools, micrometers, calipers, optical comparators and a knowledge of basic math. Screw machine experience is required for this position. Set-up and/or tooling & layout experience is a plus! Experience with New Britian, Davenport, Euroturn, Gildemeister or Acme Gridley

Description of Duties

FULLY PAID MEDICAL INSURANCE Exp. help to operate & maintain 2 or more machines. Exp. w/ Cucchi Bar Loaders is a plus. Duties of sharpening cutting tools, forms, shaves, drills, cutoffs etc. Fluent with measurement gauges & blueprint reading.

Experience with New Britian, Davenport, Euroturn, Gildemeister or Acme Gridley · operate, and maintain multi-spindle automatic screw machines, including but not limited to: changing cams, grinding form tools, drills, cutoffs, maintenance, repair etc. · Monitor 2 or more machines for mechanical problems. Initiate troubleshooting and solve mechanical problems. Perform general preventative maintenance on equipment. · Sharpen and re-set machine tooling to maintain part conformance. Operating bench grinders and surface grinder to sharpen tools. · Makes necessary tool adjustments to keep dimensions within specified tolerances · Positioning and securing tools in tool holders per tooling layout. · Excellent ability to read and use micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, height gauges and other quality instruments. · Excellent ability to work and communicate well with others. · Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail. · Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating machine instructions and procedure manuals. · Will use statistical process control techniques. · Ensuring machine performs to quality control plan & quality check sheets. · Must maintain a clean and safe work environment (work area, work benches, machines etc.)
